Adrian Bloom

Internationally renowned plantsman Adrian Bloom holds the Royal Horticultural Society’s coveted Victoria Medal of Honour. He has personally introduced many gardeners to perennials through lectures, television programs and books.

He focuses on perennial selections that will add interest for a longer season, whether through flowers or foliage and is interested in plants offering a wider use for year-round color.

Buddleja ‘Butterfly Heaven’ is loaded with sweetly scented blooms atop vigorously growing plants forming symmetrical mounds.

Campanula ‘Blue Rivulet’ has masses of long-flowering lilac-blue blooms and a spreading habit. Adrian selected the plant for its more compact habit compared to Blue Waterfall, another Adrian Bloom selection.

Dicentra ‘Spring Magic’s’ bright silver-grey carpets of finely cut foliage in spring make a striking backdrop to the clusters of soft pink perennial flowers.

Polemonium Bressingham Purple features elegant clusters of striking, electric lavender-blue flowers on graceful, yet sturdy burgundy stems. The fernlike foliage is highly decorative, too, in a rich, dark purple color in spring and fall.
