John Butcher of Berkshire, England, took note of a seedling of Solidago that had appeared in his garden. Although it was not a different color, it was quite impressive in its habit. It also boasted an impressive amount of rich golden-yellow flowers.
Solidago cutleri Goldrush performed very well in our trial program, and was successfully introduced. It heralds the coming of autumn with masses of yellow flower clusters! In August and September, Goldrush’s impressive flower display all but conceals its rich green foliage.
